Loyola Fourtane SS Lassen Sausalito Calif - Sterling & Quartz Modernist Necklace

Fabulous vintage modernist studio necklace by Loyola Fourtane, sterling silver, handmade coiled links, featuring a quartz cabochon stone with faceted sides, on the back of the clasp, etched into the silver: "Loyola Fourtane, SS Lassen, Sausalito, Calif.", measuring 16-3/4" long not including the male part of the clasp, the clasp 1" x 1-1/4", the coiled link part measures 7/8" wide, good condition, from a local estate.
Ed & Loyola Fourtane were both artists who made jewelry.  They acquired a former lumber boat, the S.S. Lassen and turned it into a Bohemian artist's colony circa 1930s - 50s.  In the 1950s, they had a jewelry store at the Pine Inn in Carmel, CA (not associated with the jewelry store called Fourtane which is there now).  Loyola passed away in 1976.  Since not all her jewelry was signed, we feel fortunate to offer this beautiful necklace for sale, as the back of the clasp is signed.

via USPS international priority or express; sometimes we ship via Fedex, depending on the value & dimensional weight of the item. We can combine multiple items for shipping, but since this will increase the value of the package, we may have to ship via USPS express mail only.
Our physical brick & mortar gallery located in Royal Oak, Michigan, is closed on Sundays & Mondays. Any Paypal payments received for orders on those days will be processed on the following Tuesday afternoon. Our regular store hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 12 noon to 6pm.
