look alike with facial features similar to those of early Molly- 'Es raggedy dolls.it was thought by some that Molly Goldman may have had a hand in this creation.
these dolls were made in the likeness of little reg a muffin fun Fabrics you might put together from your rag bag. Their blouses and or shirts consists of the Budice being that of the Torso of the doll with attached sleeves of matching fabric sewn onto the doll. Anns skirt and Andy's pants with removable. Unusual print and Stripes were mix and match including their legs and feet. Their face were made from shiny oil cloth and fabric featuring were printed on. Usually large white circles for the eyes with smaller black pupils with the pie shaped like similar to Molly-'Es. The Triangular nose was small with printed stitches outlining it. Small straight eyebrows hair made of from various shades of reddish brown.
This is a very RARE pair of "Hugable" dolls that were manufactured by the American Toy & Novelty Company. The company was founded in 1924 and nobody knows exactly how long these dolls were manufactured. 15" pair that they were made in the 30s. Their faces are made of oil cloth and the clothing that was used varied with each doll.
