ROYAL CANADIAN NAVY FRIGATE HMCS EASTVIEW K665 WITH STATS & HISTORY SHEET

Description

You are bidding on an 8 x 10 black and white photograph of HMCS Eastview K665, the River Class Frigate which served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1944 to 1946.
Eastview,  was laid down at the Canadian Vickers shipyards at Montreal, on Augut 26, 1943. She was launched on November 17, 1943, and commissioned in the Royal Canadian Navy on June 3, 1944.
She was utilized as an ocean escort during the war, and was sank as a breakwater in 1948, in British Columbia.
Photograph one is undated and shows an  overall waterline port  beam view.
Item two is an 8 x 10 colour statistics sheet showing the ships badge , general characteristics, callsign, motto, trivia, and the ensigns she proudly flew.
Item three is an 8 x 10 colour with a short history of the Eastview, complete with a list of her Commanding Officers, and a photograph of her crew.
