Yamaha SR Viper Arctic Cat XF7000 cooling fan reverse harness 2014 2015 2016 17

Description

This harness is designed to be a plug and play option to reverse your electric cooling fan direction on a Yamaha SR Viper, Arctic Cat XF7000, ZR7000, M7000 (any 7000 series Arctic Cat) snowmobile.  This will work with all Viper and XF7000 models and is a very simple modification to make.
With the stock configuration the electric fan pulls air from outside through the radiator and forces that hot damp air into the airbox which is located behind the fan.  This can lead to reduced engine performance.  The electric fan is primarily used when the snowmobile is under heavy load but not moving very fast as in off-trail, deep snow, and mountain riding conditions.  For trail riding the electric fan rarely needs to engage due to the fact that air is blowing through the radiator as the snowmobile is moving so it is not an issue.
Another benefit of this modification is that it will help evacuate hot air from the engine compartment when the water temp reaches 195 degrees Fahrenheit.  In addition to helping evacuate hot air it can help reduce steam that can come from the vent area between the windshield and the handle bars that can lead to fogging / freezing of helmets and goggles.
To install the harness you will need to remove the clutch side panel and remove the hood retaining screws.  It is possible to install it without removing the hood completely if you loosen all the screws and lift on the hood assembly to access the fan connector which comes from the fuse panel and connects to the fan.  From there, all you need to do it plug in the properly keyed male and female connectors and you're ready to go.
